What happens in class?
Newborn & Postpartum Care is a 6 hour course that includes hands on demonstration of: Swaddling, diapering, soothing, breast and bottle feeding, SIDS safety, basic CPR, identifying postpartum depression, mother care and more.
Online Classes include the same info as the 6 hour course at your own pace, from the comfort of your home.
Parent Classes are usually about 2 hours and happen in your home before baby arrives. You can have as many people attend as you wish.
What kind of job can I get as a Licensed Newborn Care Provider (NCP)?
Your expertise in babies allows you to work at any of the following:

How is this different from "Newborn Care Specialist" or "Postpartum Doula" classes I've seen?
The Newborn Care Certificate program is a stacked credential for Certified Nursing Assistants. This means that students successfully completing this program are licensed by the State of Virginia and accountable to the Board of Nursing.
